The night before a show, someone in every barn asks the same question: is this horse clear? Usually the answer comes from memory, a phone call, or a PDF rulebook read on a phone in the tack room. ShowSafe Pro is our answer to that question, and it is available today on iPhone and the web.
The record is the input
Most barns already write down who gave what, how much and when. ShowSafe Pro starts from that record instead of asking you to type it all again. Pick the horse and the show, and it uses the horse's weight, every dose logged in StallWise (drug, milligrams, route and time) and the show's rulebook and first class time. No StallWise records yet? Type the doses in by hand.
Each dose is matched to the published detection time for that drug, route and dose. Then the rulebook's own body-wide rules are applied too: the one-NSAID rule, injection windows, joint-injection stand-downs and pre-race windows.
An answer you can check
Every result is one of four: Clear, Not clear, Unknown or Prohibited. It never says "safe".
What makes it different is what comes with the answer. Every result names the document it comes from, with the page and the quoted line, and links to the governing body's own copy. Rulebooks covered include USEF, FEI, HISA/HIWU, ARCI, AQHA, NRHA, NCHA, APHA, IFHA and Equestrian Canada.
When a rulebook doesn't list a medication, or has no published time for that dose or route, ShowSafe Pro says Unknown, ask your vet instead of guessing. If a dose is above the one that was studied, it adds extra time from the published half-life and marks the result as a low-confidence estimate.
Your vet sets the margin
Published times are a starting point, so ShowSafe Pro lets your veterinarian set a safety margin as a percentage, a number of hours or both (the larger applies). The margin is saved with the name of the person who set it and added to every result. Plan a dose works the other way round: enter the drug and it tells you the latest time it can be given and still be in line for the first class.
Results are estimates, never a guarantee. The trainer is responsible for what is in the horse, and the rulebook and your veterinarian always have the final say. ShowSafe Pro just makes sure you start that conversation with the right numbers and the source in hand.
Watched every day
Every source document is re-checked daily against the governing body's own page. When a document changes or a new list is posted, we are alerted, re-transcribe it, and send every changed value back for review.
Pricing
ShowSafe Pro is included in every StallWise plan. On its own it is $9.99 a month or $99 a year, with a 14-day free trial and no card needed. One subscription covers the iPhone app and the web when you sign in with the same login.
