01 · The barn call
Open Field Visit once with signal. Then forget about signal.
Before you leave, Field Visit loads today's route, each patient's summary and allergies, the owner's phone number and your charge catalog onto the phone.
- In the barn with no coverage, record vitals and the SOAP note, take photos, add charges and collect the owner's signature on screen.
- When coverage returns, the visit files itself once: the note on the record, a draft invoice for the office, the photos, the signature, and the appointment marked complete.
- The SOAP editor on any screen also keeps its draft through a lost signal.
What still needs a connection: patients, the schedule, invoices and editing a note that's already filed.
02 · The record
Record the exam. The scribe drafts the note. You sign it.
The ambient scribe listens to the exam and drafts all four SOAP sections. Nothing is saved until the veterinarian has read, edited and signed it. The audio is never kept, and the signed note is the record.
- What happened? turns one sentence, such as "blocked PD nerves, four rads LF foot, Equioxx for seven days, recheck Tuesday", into proposed charges, prescriptions, lab orders and a recheck for you to tick.
- Each new prescription is checked against the patient's other active prescriptions, showing known interactions with severity before you save.
03 · The hospital
Every inpatient, what is due, and what was missed.
A veterinarian admits the patient and writes orders on the treatment sheet. VetPro schedules one slot per due time. Technicians mark each slot done or skipped with a reason, and a slot left untouched for an hour is recorded as missed.
- The Hospital Board shows stall, attending vet, alerts such as NPO or colic watch, diet, what's next and what was missed.
- Marking a treatment done proposes its charge, so the bill follows the care.
- The anesthesia record charts HR, RR, temperature, SpO₂, EtCO₂, blood pressure, agent and fluids against the clock, and prints.
04 · Unbilled work
It proposes. A person approves. Nothing slips off the desk unseen.
Signing a note, writing a prescription, ordering a lab or recording a vaccine creates a proposal: an invoice line priced from inventory, a stock deduction or a recheck task. In Charge Review, someone approves or dismisses each one with a reason.
- Needs Attention lists the last 30 days of loose ends: unsigned notes, unacknowledged abnormal labs, and completed visits or dispensed drugs with no invoice.
- Rules live in one place: switch off any proposal type, or auto-approve it when it already has a price.
VetPro flags unbilled work for review by matching visits and invoices on the same patient and day. A visit billed on a different day stays flagged until someone clears it.

Does VetPro work without cell signal?
Field Visit and the SOAP editor do. Open Field Visit once with signal and it loads the day's route, patient summaries, allergies, owner phone numbers and your charge catalog. Lab results are entered manually today, and numeric results build multi-year trend charts. IDEXX, Antech and Zoetis connectors are built and activate per practice together with the lab.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes. You can export per-record CSVs that re-import directly, a ZIP of documents, or one bundle of everything. No lock-in is a stated commitment.
